New Blog!

It all started with a love for changing something old, into something new. I started painting and selling furniture a few years ago, and this little hobby of mine has turned into something much bigger! I no longer will be taking orders for "THE PAINTED PORCH" instead I have started a Flea Market Company with my mom and sister. We still take custom orders and will look for specific items, but along with that we will be hosting a Flea Market selling our great finds a few times a year!

For more info check out our info HERE! Thanks for your support! Hope to see you at our future Markets!

 This piece is Beautiful. White, lightly distressed (sorry the pictures aren't great). It has a glass front door, and glass shelving inside.. all glass has been replaced... and 2 doors at the bottom that open to great storage. The original hardware and a great light inside. Its tall and thin, and would make a great centerpiece in any room!

{Robin's Egg Blue Hutch}

Sold
 This baby has been waiting to be refinished for over a year now! And now that she is finished she was worth the wait. It is a two piece hutch with all the works, the drawers on the top are lined with velvet and the doors on the bottom open to nice shelves. The hardware is all original except the pulls... I lost a few so had to replace them all. Its made from very sturdy heavy birch wood, and has been painted, glazed, and sealed! Ready for a great home... I would love to keep it but have no place for it, dang!
 Here is the bottom shelves, I left them in their original stain because I liked the contrast.
 The middle 3 drawers on top are lined with a green velvet, I did however clean them up quite a bit.
And then the base also has a large drawer on the bottom and 3 good size drawers in the middle... hence the picture! This would be really great in a entry way, living, or dining room, but I think especially cute in a kids room... lovely!
Email me if your interested!

{Things To Come}

Not sure if anyone still checks this site out or not! But if you do your in luck...
I have been working a lot on other things so the furniture restoring has put on the back burner.
But my husband and I did get 2 great finds this week and have been working extra hard to get them finished before the snow flies!

Coming Soon (Like next week!)...

  • Light Blue distressed Hutch w/drawers. (This piece would be beautiful in a kids room or even a small dining area, I am sad to part with it, and the color is amazing, perfect for either boy or girl or living room, or whatever!)

  • Large White Hutch  (This one is a classic, great detail in the bottom doors and pretty big, it has glass doors on top and a light inside.)

So ladies tell your friends and husbands that you know what you want for Christmas!! Then give me a call to reserve it!!  Ill post pictures as soon as they are finished!!

{Heirloom Piece}

This one kicked my trash!
I had to HAND SAND the entire thing, its a really old antique and a family heirloom, so I was a little nervous to say the least about painting and sanding it. Once I got going it wasn't to bad because I couldn't wait to see it finished, and she did not disappoint, I love her and miss her... I hope she enjoys her new home., my garage will miss her!

Here she is BEFORE...
I did the drawer and then realized I needed a before picture...whoops!
and AFTER!

We opted not to do the inside and just paint out the shelves. There are lots of hooks for cups inside and I would have had to remove them... not a good idea. And the glass had some awesome inlaid wood design, so I just left it the way it was, praying that the glass wouldn't break. The hardware is all original and we estimated the piece to date back to the 1920's... beautiful.

I kept the original hardware and just jazzed them up with some metallic spray paint, they are heavy and very unique. This piece was super durable and very detailed, I love how they turned out!

{Antique Desk}

SOLD

They just don't build furniture like they used to. I found this beauty on Craigslist and sold it before it was even done. I love this color and especially distressed. The hardware on this was also the originals, I just spray painted them to clean them up! It was pretty beat up so I had to do some cosmetic surgery, but it looks good as new now! I think this is my favorite piece to date... but I say that about all of them!
